Maille Mustard Cheese Scones
Tasty cheese scones with Maille Dijon Originale.
Serves 12
Ingredients
- 60 grams of butter
- 225 grams of self-raising flour
- 120ml milk
- 200 grams of cheese
- 2 tbsp of Maille Dijon Originale Mustard
- 1 tbsp finely chopped chives
Preparation
- Rub the butter into the flour with a pinch of salt
- Add the 3/4 of the cheese and the Maille Dijon Originale Mustard to the mix
- Stir in the milk with a round bladed knife
- Turn out onto a floured board and knead briefly until smooth
- Roll out slightly - keep it as deep as your scone cutters
- Cut into shapes using a biscuit cutter and place onto a baking tray
- Brush the tops with milk and the remaining cheese
- sprinkle with the chives
- Bake in the oven for 10mins then cool on a cooling rack. Best served
warm from the oven but they also freeze very well.
